Our operation is primarily out of three recording facilities in the New York City area. We also operate in other states and internationally. Convite Music consists of its own staff plus other associates such as: musicians, singers, audio engineers, arrangers, songwriters, composers, Ethnomusicologists, music business/law consultants and graphic designers. Our artists and staff are a very talented group of people. Convite Music has been involved with the promotion of music in Universities, schools and cultural centers. As such, we have developed and implemented educational programs on Caribbean folkloric music as well as worked with various cultural institutions on festivals and symposiums. Currently we are working on several recording productions and the distribution, publication and marketing of several new and well-established artists. Some of our outstanding artists include Xiomara Fortuna, Oscar Micheli, Victor Taveras, Lydia De La Rosa, EcoCumbé, Bur-Gos, Los Clarinetes Mágicos, City Banda, Sexto Sentido, Huascar Banks, Jhony Johnny, Remi, Seda Musical, Toni Perez, Alejandro Guizar, Rafael Fland & Nateao, Ilhan-Ilhan, Gratey, Kilow la Magia and others. Although they aren't presently represented by Convite Music, many artists and producers have previously worked directly with us or with members of Convite Music at different stages in their career. These artists include: Felix De Oleo, Ethnic Folk Art Center/Smithsonian Institute, Bernardo Palombo, Fernando Otero, Bony Raposo y La 21 División, Amarfis y la Banda de Atake, Isidro Alexis y Unisono, Mikey Taveras, Dominicana Record Shopp, Wadis Jaquez, Rosmery Almonte, Alexis Casado, Rene Fiallo, Jose Manuel, Alex y Nancy, Luis Ovalles, Antonio Pantojas, Onix Baez, Angel Muniz, FM 91(Dominican Rep), Mas Publicidad, among others. Convite Music is constantly studying, documenting, innovating and blending ancient/ethnic instruments and music styles with modern recording technology. Our goal is to produce music that is truly versatile; maintaining harmony between the old and the new. We believe in this universal phenomenon called music, the voice and soul of the earth. Music: that is what we are all about. |
